Anna Adamo (1991) was born and raised in the suburbs of Milan. She began photographing her mother as a teenager, developing a deeply intimate and emotional visual language. In 2012, she won the first national competition organized by Leica with the project This Is Our Youth, which led her to collaborate with the collective Cesura, founded by Alex Majoli. She later completed an internship at Magnum Photos in Paris and has since pursued long-term personal projects, including Bakeca (Cesura Publish, 2017), co-authored with Marco P. Valli. Her work moves between editorial photography, storytelling, and documentary practice, and over the years has been published in Vice Magazine, Colors, GQ, Esquire, Alla Carta, Rivista Studio, Vanity Fair, among others. She has collaborated with various brands such as Off-White, C.P. Company, Timberland, Moncler, Trussardi, Apple, and more. In 2024, she was selected by CAMERA as a new member of Futures. At the core of her practice lies a constant commitment to long-term narratives and immersive processes, driven by the desire to enter the emotional and physical spaces of others, to build trust over time, and to dissolve the distance between observer and subject. Anna continues to work as an independent photographer, intertwining personal research with commissioned projects.
